This is a lagoon near Natal city. The name Natal means Christmas. The city was created from a fortress named “Fortaleza dos reis magos” ( fortress of Wise kings). The city of Natal is in Northern Brasil.
This lake is called Genipabu lagoon. Just behind the dunes, there is the sea. The heat is incredible: more than 40º!

Personally, I think qualifying a good photo is a matter of personal taste. But I think they are some criteria: good light, for example, determines if the photo is good or not. The angle is important too. I also think it must appeal to emotions like love, revolt, sadness, melancholy, …. A unusual photo is sometimes beautiful.

Moreover, I think the colours are really important. This picture represents Northern Lights, and I think that here the lights and the colours make the picture beautiful.

In order to take a good photo, it’s necessary to train, and to take a lot of photos. You only manage to have some good ones out of many.
